Srinivasa Traders & General Shop

Srinivasa Traders & General Shop has been sitting here in Shonadri, Shivalayam Vijayawada for as long as I can remember. The address is Vijayawada 520001, and it’s a good spot because we are near the temple. We get a lot of people coming in after they’ve finished their prayers. The humidity in Vijayawada can be quite something, so the shop often feels like a little escape for people to just stand under the fan for a minute while they buy their groceries. We keep the usual things—rice, dal, some cleaning supplies, and sweets for the kids. It’s a family business, and my brother and I take turns sitting at the front. We know most of our customers by their names and know exactly what they’re going to ask for before they even say it. It’s not a complicated way to live, but it keeps us busy from morning until night. Sometimes the temple festivals make the whole street really crowded and loud, which is good for business but also a bit exhausting. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People just know where we are. We try to keep our prices fair and our shelves full. It’s just about being there every day, rain or shine, and making sure the neighborhood has a place to get their daily essentials without having to travel too far into the main city traffic. We just take it one day at a time here in Shonadri.
