Sri Venkateswara Kirana Rice & General Stores

We are located at 70-12-09, near the Govindarajula School on N.S.M. Public School Road in the Patamata area of Vijayawada. Our store is mainly about rice and general kirana items. We have many different varieties of rice in big sacks because that’s what people around here need most. It’s a busy road with the schools nearby, so there is always a lot of movement and the sound of bells and traffic. We’ve been operating this store for quite some time now. The space is filled with the smell of raw grain and spices. We don't have any polished floors or air conditioning, just the open door and the ceiling fans. Sometimes the bags of rice get heavy to lift, but we are used to it by now. My family helps out with the weighing and bagging. We don't have any big slogans or anything like that. We just focus on having enough stock for everyone who comes in. On rainy days, it can get a bit slow, but we use that time to clean the shelves and reorganize the jars of pulses. It’s a steady kind of work for us in 520001. We know most of the people in Patamata and they know where to find us when they need their kitchen supplies. We just keep our heads down and do the work every day. It’s a simple business but it keeps us going.
