Sri Venkateshwara General Shop

Sri Venkateshwara General Shop has been a part of Kankipedu for some time. We are situated on the Main Road here in Vijayawada and it is a pretty straightforward operation. I took over the shop and decided to keep things just the way they were. We sell the usual stuff like cooking oil, pulses, and some cleaning supplies. The locals know us well and they often come in just to chat for a minute while they wait for their change. It isn't a modern supermarket or anything like that. Just a small room with wooden shelves and a stone floor. Sometimes it takes me a minute to find a specific brand of spice because things get moved around a lot. The traffic outside on the Main Road is always loud so we have to speak up when talking to customers. We try to keep the prices fair so people keep coming back. It’s a lot of work lifting heavy crates and stocking up the inventory every week. My back hurts sometimes by the end of the day but that’s just how it is. We don't really have a big team, it's mostly just me and occasionally a family member helping out. If you need something for your dinner tonight, you can probably find it here.
