Down here at 11-49-91 on Sivalayam Street, we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of Vijayawada life. It’s a busy spot, and there is never a dull moment when the shop is open. We handle a lot of different items, mostly the things you’d find in any kitchen or household around here. People stop by on their way home or while they are out doing their morning rounds. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every bit of shelf space we have. Sometimes it feels like we are playing a game of Tetris with the boxes. We don't really bother with much decoration; the products themselves fill up the walls. Usually, the day starts with sweeping the front and making sure everything looks decent before the first customer arrives. Dealing with wholesalers and keeping track of what people want takes up a lot of time. The street outside can get pretty loud with horns and people talking, but that’s the spirit of the area. We’ve known some of our customers for years, and we’ve seen their kids grow up. It’s more than just a place to buy things; it’s where we spend most of our lives. We try to be fair and just keep things moving smoothly. There’s always another bag to open or a shelf to restock, so there isn't much time for sitting around doing nothing.
