Sri Anjanasai Provision

Sri Anjanasai Provision is my small shop on Arjuna Street in Mallikarjunapet. The address is D. No: 10-4-22, and it’s a busy little corner of Vijayawada. I get here early, usually before the sun is fully up, to take delivery of the milk packets and the bread. The morning air is the only time it feels cool around here. I spend the first hour sweeping the front and arranging the fresh stock. We carry all the daily essentials like cooking oil, pulses, and cleaning supplies. The shelves are a bit disorganized because I'm always moving things to make room for new arrivals. Customers are mostly neighbors who live in the surrounding streets. They come in wearing their slippers, looking for a pack of matches or some salt. I have a small stool behind the counter, but I rarely get to sit on it for long. There is a temple nearby, so I see a lot of people passing by in the mornings. I use an old metal scale for some things and a digital one for others. The digital one sometimes acts up when the battery is low. My hands are usually dry from handling the plastic packaging all day. It’s a decent way to make a living and I enjoy the daily rhythm of the street. It’s nothing special, just a place to get your groceries and go back home.
