Shriram Life Insurance Company

Our office is at H No 11-2A in Musliam Palem. We are right across from the Ramalyam in Pedakakani, Guntur. It’s a very specific spot and easy to find once you are in the area. Shriram Life Insurance Company has had this small branch here for a while. It’s not like the big offices you see in the city. Here, things move a bit slower. We sit at our desks and wait for folks to come in from the village or the nearby farms. We talk about policies and paperwork, but mostly we just talk to people. We know most of our visitors by name. It’s a small community, so word gets around. The building is simple, just concrete and paint. It gets dusty because of the road, so we’re always sweeping. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning, just some ceiling fans that hum all day. We do our work, fill out the forms, and try to make sure everything is right for the families who rely on us. It’s not a complicated business when you get down to it. We just help people plan for the future in a very basic way. We close up when the sun goes down and head home. It’s a steady, quiet life here in Guntur. Sometimes we share snacks with the people who drop by just to say hello. It's part of the day.
