Sai Yamini General Stores

You can find Sai Yamini General Stores right at the Poranki Center. We are on the Poranki Main Road in Vijayawada, which is usually a very busy spot with plenty of activity. There is always someone honking their horn or a bike zooming past the front door while we are trying to talk to customers. We’ve been here at this location for a while now, and the shop has become a bit of a landmark for people giving directions to the neighbors. It’s a standard general store setup with stuff stacked high on the shelves. Sometimes it’s hard to reach the top rows without using the small wooden ladder we keep tucked behind the counter. We sell all the usual things like soap, hair oil, and various spices. The front of the shop usually has a few sacks of rice or flour leaning against the wall where they are easy to grab. We try to keep the place cool with a couple of ceiling fans, but the afternoon sun hits the entrance directly, so it stays pretty warm. We mostly talk to the regulars who live in the houses behind the main road. They come in for their daily needs and stay for a minute to talk about the weather or how the crops are doing. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who take turns sitting at the desk.
