Sai Kanaka Durga Fancy & General Stores

Our shop, Sai Kanaka Durga Fancy & General Stores, is on the Main Road in Kedhareswaripeta. You can find us at Door No 18-6-35/A. We are right beside the New Masjid, so we hear the calls for prayer five times a day, which helps us keep track of the time. This part of Vijayawada is always moving. We sell a mix of things, which is why we have fancy and general in our name. The fancy items are mostly things like bangles, ribbons, and small items for the ladies in the neighborhood. Then we have the regular stuff like soap and matches. The shop gets very bright in the afternoon because of how the sun hits the Main Road. We have a lot of glass jars on the counters filled with different things. It can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once, but we make it work. The 520003 area is where we have been for years. We don't use any fancy computers to track what we sell, just a notebook and a pen. Sometimes the kids come in for a single piece of candy and stay to talk about their school. It is a friendly place. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the new stock piles up near the back. That is just how a busy local shop looks.
