Radha Krishna General

Our place, Radha Krishna General, sits in Sai Puram Colony out in the Gollapudi area. Vijayawada is a big city, but this part feels a bit different than the crowded center. It’s mostly families living in the houses around here. We set up the shop to be handy for the people in the colony so they don’t have to go all the way to the main market for every little thing they need for the kitchen. The morning starts with getting the milk packets ready and making sure the floor is swept clean before the first customer arrives. It’s quiet in the early hours, just the sound of a few birds and people heading out for their morning walks. Later on, it picks up. We have a lot of plastic containers and bags filled with grains and pulses on the shelves. Sometimes the kids from the nearby houses come in for a piece of candy or a small toy after school. We spend a lot of time just checking what’s low and making lists for the suppliers who come by. It’s a simple life. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they are fine for now and hold the shelves up just fine. We mostly just focus on getting through the day and making sure we have what people are looking for. It’s not a fancy setup, just a local shop in the 521225 area.
