Pujitha General Shop

Our shop is located right in the middle of Kankipedu on the Main Road in Gannavaram. People mostly know us because we are near the Maseed Center. It is a simple place where we sell groceries and small things for the house. I opened Pujitha General Shop because there weren't many places nearby at the time. Now the area is much busier. We get a lot of people stopping by on their bikes to grab something quick. Inside, it is a bit cramped because I try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. There are bags of rice stacked in the corner and plenty of snacks for the kids who come after school. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use a torch to find things for the customers. It gets quite hot in Vijayawada during the summer months so the shop can feel a bit stuffy. I spend most of my day sitting behind the counter talking to the regulars. We aren't doing anything big here, just selling everyday items that people run out of at home. Dealing with the wholesalers can be a bit of a headache sometimes but that is part of the job. I usually keep the doors open from early morning until late at night. It’s a decent way to make a living and stay connected with the local community here in this part of town.
