Navya Electronics

Navya Electronics is just a small spot at No. 13/90-B right at the Poranki Center. If you live around here, you’ve probably passed by it a hundred times without thinking much of it. The shop is small and usually smells a bit like hot solder and old dust. We have shelves lined with components, resistors, and bits of wire that we’ve saved over the years. It is a place where we fix things that people thought were dead. We don’t have any fancy displays or neon signs that work properly. Most of the time, the counter is covered in tools and disassembled gadgets. It gets loud outside with the buses going through Poranki, but we are used to it by now. We sit on small stools and squint at circuit boards under old desk lamps. Sometimes we can't find the part we need and have to wait for a delivery from the city, which can take days. It is a slow kind of work, but it keeps us busy. We don't make big promises. We just take the device, open it up, and see if it can be saved. It’s an honest way to spend the day. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. We stay here until the sun goes down and then lock up the shutters until tomorrow morning comes again.
