Mahadevi General Stores

Mahadevi General Stores is situated at Door No 26-27-22 in Gandhi Nagar. We are right by the General Sports Shop in Vijayawada. The 520003 area is a central part of the city. Our store is full of all sorts of household goods. We have detergents, spices, grains, and even some small plastic items for the kitchen. It’s a bit of a squeeze inside because we try to stock so many things. The light isn't great in the back corners but we know where everything is. We spend most of the morning unloading crates and arranging packets. Customers usually come in with a list written on a piece of paper. We weigh the loose items like sugar or flour on the old scale. It’s a steady kind of life. We don't have a big corporate name, just Mahadevi General Stores. Most of the people who shop here have been coming for years. We hear all the local news while we are packing up bags. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use a torch to find things. It’s just the way it goes. We don't do any big promotions or discounts. The prices are just what they are. It’s a simple shop for the local community and we are happy to keep it running. The wooden counter has some scratches on it but it has lasted through a lot of work.
