Lotus Mart

We have been here at Lotus Mart on Mallikarjunarao Street for quite a while now. Most people in Durgapuram know our spot since it is right at 12-5-47. It is just a regular place where you can pick up what you need for the kitchen or the house without much fuss. The shop isn't huge, but we try to keep the shelves full of the basic things families around here use every single day. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road a bit in the mornings, which can be a pain for the neighbors, but we get things moved as fast as we can. It’s mostly just me and a couple of others helping out behind the counter. We know most of the faces that walk through the door by name because they live just a few streets over. Dealing with the heat in the summer can be tough inside the shop, but we keep the fans going at full speed. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just selling groceries and household stuff like everyone else. If we run out of something, we usually get it back in stock by the next Tuesday when the main shipment comes in. People stop by on their way home from work to grab milk, soap, or snacks for their kids. It is a simple life running a shop on this street. We just keep the doors open, make sure the change is right, and hope the electricity stays on. It's nothing special, just a neighborhood mart for neighborhood people who need their daily supplies.
