Lakmi Durga Generals

We are located in Satyanarayanapuram, not too far from the Maduranagar Station in Vijayawada. Being near a railway station means there is always a bit of life around the shop. We started Lakmi Durga Generals to serve the people living in this neighborhood. Most of our day is spent organizing the small items that people need daily, like toiletries, stationery, and snacks. The heat in Vijayawada can be quite intense, so we usually have the fan going and stay in the shade of the shop front. We get a lot of people stopping by on their way to or from the train station. It is a simple shop with basic shelves and a small counter. I handle most of the work myself, from talking to the distributors who bring the goods to cleaning the front area every morning. The trains passing by make a lot of noise, but after a while, you just stop noticing it. We have a lot of regulars who come in just to chat for a minute while they buy their daily needs. It isn’t anything fancy, just a local store where we try to keep the things people use most. We stay open late enough for the people coming home on the last few trains, making sure they can grab what they need before heading home. It is just a matter of being there when people need the basics.
