Kiran General Stores

We are located on the Main Road in Vidyadharapuram. The shop is Kiran General Stores and you can find us at Door No 22-10-12. Being near the Sitara Deluxe Cinema means there is always a lot of movement around here. People come in for cold drinks or snacks before a show, but mostly we sell household groceries. We have been in Vijayawada for a long time. The store isn't very large so sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We stock pulses, cleaning supplies, and those small packets of spices. It’s a bit noisy with the traffic outside all day. My family helps out with the stock. We don't have a big computer system, just a notepad and a pen for the accounts. Everything is kept in jars or stacked on wooden shelves. Sometimes we run out of things if the truck doesn't show up on Tuesday. Most customers live in the streets behind the main road and stop by after work. It’s just a regular life running a shop like this. We try to keep things clean but the main road brings in a lot of dust. You just get used to it. The 520012 area is where we've always been. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to come in. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that makes a bit of noise while it spins.
