K G N Traders

K G N Traders is located right in the middle of the action at Cheruvu Bazar in Khammam. We are at 154/4, which is very close to the Hanuman Temple. You can hear the temple bells throughout the day, which is a nice background to our work. The bazar is a very lively place, always full of people, cows, and motorcycles weaving through the crowds. We trade in a bit of everything, depending on what the local market is looking for at the time. The shop has been here for a long time, and it feels like part of the neighborhood. It is a small space, and we often have to move things out onto the pavement just to get around inside. We spend a lot of time chatting with the other shopkeepers and the regulars who stop by for a talk. There is no corporate structure here; it is just a family-run business where we do the accounting by hand in old registers. We don’t try to act like we are bigger than we are. When people come in, they get treated like neighbors because that is what they are. Sometimes business is slow, and other times it is so busy we can’t even find time to eat. It is a simple life in a busy town, and we are happy to be a small part of the community here in Khammam.
