Joshika General Stores

You will find Joshika General Stores at Shop No 94 in K G Market, located in the One Town area of Vijayawada. This market is a very old and busy place, and our shop is right in the middle of all that action. It is usually quite hot and humid here, so we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the alleyway. The shop is filled with all kinds of plastic items, stationary, and general household goods. We have things hanging from the ceiling to save space because the floor is usually covered with bags and boxes. It’s a bit of a maze inside, but I know exactly where everything is kept. Customers come in looking for specific things, and we usually find it for them pretty quickly without much trouble. We don't have a fancy computer system; we just do everything by hand in a big red notebook. It’s how we have always done it. The market can be very loud with vendors shouting and people bargaining for prices, but that’s just how it is in One Town. We don't try to be anything we are not. We are just a local shop in a busy market. Sometimes the rain floods the street a little in the monsoon, and we have to put boards at the door to keep the water out. It’s just part of the job. We are here every day, just selling what people need.
