I stay over at 541/A in the Bogguline Quarters, which is part of the Loco Colony here in Vijayawada. It’s a quiet area compared to the main city market, mostly because of the railway staff and their families living around. Living and working from this spot means things are a bit different than a shop in the middle of the city. People usually know where the Loco Colony is, so they find their way to the quarters without too much trouble. The house is a standard one, and I spend a lot of time managing the daily work right from here. In a place like Vijayawada, you get used to the heat early in the morning. I usually start my day by checking what needs to be done and who is coming over. There isn't a big signboard or anything like that out front. It’s more of a local thing where word gets around through the neighbors. The colony has a lot of trees, which is nice when it gets really hot in the afternoon. Sometimes neighbors stop by for a chat while I’m busy with work. It’s a small-scale way of doing things, but it works for me. I keep my papers and tools organized in a corner of the room. Most of the people I deal with are from the nearby streets or work for the railways too. It’s a simple life, just doing the job and keeping things moving along as best as I can.
