Our place is on Arupplukottai Main Road in Madurai, right near the Padma Theatre. You can’t really miss it because the theater is a big landmark for everyone in the city. We are part of the Indian Hotels group, which is a Tata enterprise, but we run things in a very local way here. We have a lot of staff who have lived in Madurai their whole lives. The road outside is always busy with traffic and people going to the movies, so there is a lot of energy around us. We aren't a high-end luxury place that feels cold or formal. We try to keep things friendly and simple for everyone who stays with us. We don't use those corporate scripts when we talk to guests. We just say hello and help them with their bags or their food. The building is older and has its own character. We spend our time making sure the rooms are clean and that people feel comfortable while they are visiting the city. Madurai is a famous place for its temples, and we get many travelers who are here for that. We don't have a big marketing team. Most of our work is just day-to-day hospitality.
