Asst Manager Housekeeping

Working at Inox Leisure Ltd in Vijayawada is a bit different than your average office job. My spot is in the housekeeping department, where things are always moving. We are based right inside the cinema complex. If you’ve ever been to the movies here, you’ve probably walked past where we work without even knowing it. The job involves a lot of walking and checking on things. We have a crew that focuses on making sure the theaters are ready for the next group of people after every show. It’s a fast pace because the movies don’t stop for us. We spend a lot of time in the supply rooms and the hallways behind the screens. Vijayawada is a hot place, so being inside with the air conditioning is a nice part of the day. We don't have a big corporate suite; it's mostly just a desk and a lot of cleaning supplies. We deal with spills, lost items, and general upkeep every single day. It’s not glamorous, but it’s necessary if you want the place to look decent for the families that visit. We try to stay ahead of the mess, which is a constant battle when there are hundreds of people coming through. We’ve got our own way of doing things that we’ve figured out over time. It’s just about being thorough and making sure the staff knows what needs to happen before the doors open again. It is honest, physical work.
