About Ark Resin Art World – Art & Craft in Vijayawada
We do all our work near the Amma Kalyanamandapam. It’s a familiar landmark for everyone around here. Working with resin means things can get pretty messy, so we try to keep our space organized, even if there’s usually a bit of dust or a stray drip on the floor. Ark Resin Art World isn't a big factory or a polished gallery. It’s more of a workshop where we spend our hours mixing, pouring, and waiting for things to dry. The weather actually affects our work a lot because of how the resin sets. Some days are better than others. We have tables set up with all our molds and pigments. It’s a lot of quiet time, just focusing on the details. People sometimes peek in when they’re passing by the marriage hall. We’ve got different pieces sitting around at various stages of being finished. Some are just starting, others are being sanded down. It takes patience. We didn't start with much, just a few tools and a lot of trial and error. You learn a lot by making mistakes in this business. We spend a lot of time cleaning our brushes and checking the temperature. It’s not a fast process, but we like the pace of it. The neighborhood is mostly quiet until there’s an event at the hall, then it gets lively. We just keep our heads down and keep working on the next piece.
