Anu Hospital

Suryarao Pet is a bit of a maze if you aren't from around here, but Anu Hospital is tucked right in there. We have been operating in this neighborhood for a long time, and the building has seen a lot of history. It is a local place where people feel comfortable coming because they know the staff by their first names. We don't have any of those shiny brochures or corporate slogans. We just open up early in the morning, sweep the front step, and start seeing the patients who are lined up. Some days the humidity in Suryarao Pet is really heavy, and we have the fans going full blast in the waiting room. The chairs are those plastic ones that are easy to wipe down, and we have a small desk where we keep all the records in big paper files. It’s a lot of writing and keeping track of things by hand. The doctors stay late most nights because there is always one more person who needs something. We don't make a big fuss about what we do. It is just a hospital for the community, and we try to keep it running smoothly despite the occasional power cut or the noise from the street. You get to hear all the local gossip while you work here, which makes the long shifts go by a bit faster. It is just a normal, busy hospital doing what it can for the people.
