Maraikar Exim

Out here in Village Almel, things move at a bit of a different pace than in the big cities. We are situated in the Sindagi Taluk, right near the petrol pump, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are passing through. Being in a village means we know most of the people around here. The office is simple and gets the job done. We spend a lot of time dealing with various goods and making sure they get to where they are supposed to go. Since we are near the pump, there’s always a bit of activity outside with trucks and cars coming and going. It gets dusty sometimes, especially when the wind picks up across the fields. We started this because we wanted to work from our own area instead of moving away. The work involves a lot of checking lists and talking to drivers. It’s not a flashy business by any means. We just have our desks, some chairs, and plenty of space for storage. Most of the day is spent on the phone or looking at documents. It feels good to be part of the local economy in Almel. Sometimes we have a tea break and just watch the traffic on the main road. It is a honest way to make a living and we have been doing it this way for a while now without much fuss. There is always something to do but we don't rush.
