Shree Ram Traders

In Banskuli, the pace is a bit different than the big cities, but Shree Ram Traders stays moving. We open up early, usually when the air is still cool, and start checking what came in the day before. The shop floor is where most of the action happens. We handle a lot of different goods, so you never really know what the day will bring. Sometimes it’s bags of grain, other times it’s hardware or basic supplies that people in Banskuli need for their homes. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. If you come by, you’ll probably see us hauling something out to a truck or chatting with a regular who stopped for a bit of gossip. The floor gets a bit messy with bits of packaging and dirt from the street, but we sweep it out when we get a quiet moment. We’ve had this spot for years, and the walls are covered with old calendars and notes we’ve scribbled to ourselves. It’s a practical way to live. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done in ledgers because that’s what we trust. When the monsoon hits, we have to move everything away from the door to keep it dry. It’s just regular work for regular people, and we like it that way.
