Deepmala Marine Exports

Deepmala Marine Exports is located down near the F.T.D. Gate in the Bhidiya Plot area. If you come by, you’ll definitely notice the smell of the ocean and the fish being processed nearby. It’s a very industrial part of town, mostly focused on what comes off the boats. Our building is simple and we spend most of our time in rubber boots because things can get a bit messy. We deal with marine exports, so there’s a lot of ice and cold storage involved. It’s a tough job and the hours are long, often starting before the sun comes up when the catch comes in. We have a small crew of workers who have been doing this for years. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. You usually have to walk past some crates to find the main office. We keep a radio playing in the background to keep the mood up while we work. The seagulls are always hanging around the roof, hoping for some scraps from the catch. The salt air eats away at the paint on the walls, so it looks a bit weathered. We don't really do much in the way of promotion. Most of our business comes from people who know where we are at Bhidiya Plot. We just focus on getting the products sorted and packed into the freezer trucks. It’s a straightforward life here by the water. We work hard, we deal with the daily catch, and we try to keep the equipment running.
