Yali Development Foundation

The Yali Development Foundation is based right here at 82/12 Lakshmana Mudali Street in Sainathapuram. Vellore is a busy place, and our corner of it in 632001 is no different. We set up shop here because it’s where we’re from. The foundation isn’t some big fancy organization from the city. We’re just local residents who wanted to see some progress in our own backyard. Our office on Lakshmana Mudali Street is small, and sometimes the fans don’t work right, but we stay focused on the work. We deal with development in a very local way, looking at what Sainathapuram needs day to day. We don't use big words or have long meetings that go nowhere. Usually, we just sit down and figure out a plan for the week. It’s a lot of manual work and staying in touch with the families nearby. Being in Tamil Nadu, we understand the local customs and what people expect from us. We don’t try to be anything we’re not. We’re a small foundation trying to make things a little better for the people on our street and the surrounding areas. It's practical and sometimes a bit messy, but it’s our way of contributing.
