Vishnu Flour Mill

We are located at No 588 in Lakshmi Nagar, right along the Vaniyampaadi Road in Thirupathur. The mill has been a part of this neighborhood for a while. If you walk past us, you will hear the loud hum of the grinding machines and probably smell the grain in the air. The inside is always a bit white with flour dust, which gets on our clothes and hair by the end of the shift. We spend our days lifting heavy bags of wheat and other grains to pour into the hoppers. It is hard physical work and your back definitely feels it after a few hours. We don't have a fancy office or a big sign out front. Most people just know us by the address or by the noise we make. We are on the main road to Vaniyampaadi, so there is plenty of traffic passing by all the time. Sometimes we sit on the bench outside for a few minutes just to catch some fresh air. The people in Lakshmi Nagar are our main customers. We know most of them by name because they have been coming here for years. It is a very local kind of business. We aren't trying to do anything grand; we just want to keep the machines running and make sure the flour is ready. It is just a simple mill in a quiet part of Thirupathur. We have been here for a long time.
