The Oberoi

We are out in Paraimedu Village which is part of the Katpadi area in Tamil Nadu. The address is 1/239 and that is where you will find The Oberoi. It’s not in the middle of a big city so things are a lot slower and quieter out here. The building is surrounded by trees and some open land which is nice when you need a break from the work. We don't have a lot of traffic passing by except for the local people going about their day. Most of our time is spent managing the property and making sure everything is in order. It’s a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on things. We don't have any polished speeches or corporate handbooks that we follow. We just do what needs to be done to keep the place running. The weather can get very hot in Tamil Nadu so we try to get most of the outdoor tasks finished before the sun gets too high. We get some birds nesting in the eaves of the roof and they can be quite loud in the early morning. We have a small team and we all know each other well. We don't use big words to describe ourselves. We are just a local business in a village trying to do a good job. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait it out, but that is just how it is in this part of the country.
