Srr Trading Corporation

Started the day early here at Srr Trading Corporation. Being right at No:1 in the Paramasivam Complex means we see everyone coming and going on Sripuram Main Road. It gets pretty loud with all the traffic out in Kamaraj Nagar Extn., but you get used to it after a few years. We spend most of our time dealing with crates and inventory lists. Sometimes the paperwork piles up on the desk and it feels like we never get through it. Thorapadi is a busy place to be. We handle various goods and moving them around takes up most of our energy. My hands are usually a bit dirty by lunch. The fan in the corner makes a weird clicking sound but it keeps the air moving. People stop by asking for directions or just to see what we have in stock that day. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It is just a workspace with shelves and boxes everywhere. When it rains, the sound on the roof is so loud we have to shout to hear each other. We try to keep things organized but on Tuesdays when the new shipments come in, the whole floor is a mess for hours. It’s just how it goes when you’re running a trading business. We stay until the last truck is loaded, even if it’s getting dark outside. It is hard work but it keeps us going.
