Sri Srinivasa Modern Rice Mill

Sri Srinivasa Modern Rice Mill sits on Plot No.23 along the Niteri Vellore Road. Being on a main road like that means we have trucks pulling in and out all day, which keeps things interesting. The mill has been around for a while, and even though we call it "modern," it’s mostly just a place where we work hard with the machines we have. We handle a lot of rice, mostly brought in from the surrounding farms. The heat inside the mill can be pretty intense during the summer months, but we just keep the fans going and carry on. We don't have a corporate team or anyone in a suit here. It’s just a bunch of us in our work clothes, making sure the grain is processed properly. The noise of the machinery is constant, and you can smell the toasted husks in the air for miles. Sometimes we have issues with the equipment and everything has to stop while we figure out how to fix it with whatever tools we have on hand. It isn't a perfect system, but it works for us. We don't spend money on fancy websites or brochures because we’d rather just focus on the rice itself. People know where we are, and they know what we do. It’s a straightforward business on the road to Vellore, and we are just happy to keep the wheels turning and the bags filled.
