Nandri Natural Foods

Nandri Natural Foods is based out here in Vellore. It is usually quite hot in this part of the country, so we try to get most of our heavy work done early in the morning before the sun gets too high in the sky. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the food items that come in and making sure everything is packed correctly for the customers. The warehouse floor is mostly concrete and we have wooden pallets stacked up with bags and containers. It is not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast. Most of the people working here are from the local area around Vellore, so we all know each other pretty well and chat while we work. We have a small table in the back where we sit for our breaks and eat. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the heavy traffic on the main roads, and that can throw off our whole afternoon schedule. We do not have a big marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on what we are doing with the grains and the other natural products we handle. There is always a lot of dust from the bags, so we have to sweep the floor a couple of times a day. It is just a regular local business where we show up, do the work, and then go home to our families. It is simple and honest work.
