We are based at 16 Kosas Street, right in the heart of Kosapet. If you’ve ever been down these narrow streets, you know how tight it can get with the traffic and the people moving about. We’ve been operating Kumawat Exports from this small spot for a good while. It isn't a large place, just enough room for the goods and a couple of desks where we handle the records. The building is quite old and has that specific smell of old wood and paper. Most days, it’s just me and a couple of helpers sorting through the items. We export various things depending on what the season brings in. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying stuff in and out because the trucks can’t always get right to the door. You have to park a bit away and use a trolley. It keeps us fit, I suppose. The neighbors are all tradespeople too, so there is always a lot of chatter and the sound of work going on around us. We don't spend money on fancy signs or big advertisements. People in Kosapet know where we are if they need us. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and wait for it to come back. It’s a simple way of living. We just make sure the shipments are ready on time and that the quality is what it should be before it leaves the street. It’s a small operation, but we stay busy and the neighbors are good to us.
