K A L Pathippagam

Our publishing house is called K A L Pathippagam and you can find us at number 26 on Katpadi Road. We are situated right on Dharmaraja Kovil Street, which is almost directly opposite the C M C Hospital. It is a very busy area because of the hospital, so there are always people walking past and cars honking. Our place is full of books and the smell of ink and paper. We do a lot of printing and publishing work here. There are stacks of paper waiting to be turned into books and boxes ready to be sent out. The building is an older one but it serves us well. We spend our days going over manuscripts or checking the printing presses to make sure things are running okay. It gets quite noisy when the machines are all going at once. Sometimes the street outside gets blocked up with traffic, making it a bit difficult to load up the books for delivery. We have a small staff and everyone does a bit of everything. From proofreading to packing boxes, there is always something that needs attention. Being near the hospital means we see a lot of different people every day. We have been part of this street for a long time and the shop has a lot of history in its walls. It is a busy, cluttered, and hardworking kind of place where we just focus on getting the books out to the readers.
