You can find us over on Godown Street in Chengi Village, which is part of the Kvkuppam Taluk near Vellore. We are at No.1/85. Like a lot of folks in this part of Tamil Nadu, we live and breathe farming. Our company is a collective, meaning it is owned and run by the farmers themselves. We focus on keeping things green and productive year-round. It is a lot of work coordinating everyone, but it makes more sense than trying to do it all alone. We spend most of our time out in the fields or at the godown on Godown Street, moving sacks and checking on the harvest. The weather in Vellore can be tough, often very dry, so we have to be smart about how we use water. We are not a polished business with a big marketing budget. We are just regular people who know how to grow things. We talk about the crops over tea and try to figure out the best way to get our produce to the markets. Sometimes things do not go as planned, like when a machine breaks down or the rain does not come when it is supposed to. But we just deal with it and move on. Our goal is not to be famous or huge. We just want to make sure the farmers in Chengi and the surrounding villages get a fair deal for the hard work they put in every day.
