Balaji Timber & Plywood

Our yard is right on Ambala Road in Zirakpur. You can’t miss the stacks of wood if you’re driving by. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, selling timber and plywood to builders and regular folks working on their homes. The smell of sawdust is pretty much constant around here. We carry different grades of wood, from the basic stuff for framing to the nicer plywoods for furniture. It’s a busy place, with trucks coming in and out to drop off logs or pick up orders. We don’t have a fancy air-conditioned office. Most of the time we are out in the yard helping people pick out the right sheets or measuring things. Wood can be tricky because it warps or has knots, so we try to be careful about what we sell. We aren't interested in a hard sell. If you need a few boards for a shelf or a whole load for a house, we treat it the same. Sometimes the rain slows us down a bit when we’re loading, but that’s just life on Ambala Road. We know most of the local carpenters by name because they come in so often. It’s a decent way to make a living, working with our hands and helping people build things. We just try to keep enough stock so people don't have to wait too long.
