We’ve been here at Star Industrial Estate for a while now. It’s usually pretty busy in Waliv Vasai, and our unit is right at A-19. Being near the Hanuman Mandir actually helps people find us because the roads back here can get a bit confusing for new delivery drivers. We mostly handle industrial production, so the place is often loud and a bit messy. That is just how it goes in this line of work. Most days we are just focused on the machines and keeping things moving. It’s an honest living for us. Sometimes the traffic around Naik Pada is a total headache, especially when we are trying to get a shipment out in the evening. We started small with just a couple of workers and a few pieces of equipment. Now we deal with all sorts of metal and plastic parts depending on what the local orders are. It’s not a fancy office with air conditioning. It is just grease, metal, and hard work. We try to keep our materials organized but sometimes the piles of steel grow faster than we can use them. If you walk past the temple, you’ll see our big front gate. We don’t spend much time on talk, we just focus on finishing the jobs on time. It is a lot of manual labor and long hours on our feet. Our neighbors make different parts, and we often have to coordinate who uses the loading space first.
