Shree Creation

Our unit is Gala Number 109 in the Rajprabha Mohan Estate, over in Valiv, Vasai East. It is a bit of a trek to get here if you are coming from the city, but this is where all the manufacturing happens. We are in Building 1-B. The estate is a huge maze of different buildings and small factories. In our gala, we have the machines set up for whatever we are creating that week. It is loud and can get quite hot when everything is running at once. We don't have a fancy office; it’s just a small partitioned corner with a desk and a computer to manage the invoices. Most of our day is spent on the floor making sure the quality is okay and the workers have what they need. We’ve been in Vasai for a while now. The rains can be tough here because the roads flood a little, but we rarely miss a day. We aren't trying to be some high-end fashion house; we just produce what is ordered and try to do it right. There’s always a smell of grease and raw materials in the air, which is just part of the job. We grab Vada Pav from the corner stall for a quick snack when things get busy. It is just a normal, hardworking place where we focus on the daily output and shipping stuff out.
