L Power Tech Sys India Pvt Ltd is based out of the Lakshmi Compound in Waliv, over in Vasai East. It’s an industrial area, so there is always a lot of activity around here. Our unit is just one of many in the compound, but we’ve made it our own over the years. We deal with power systems and technical stuff, so there are always tools and components lying around the floor. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but it’s where the work happens. We have a small team of people who know their way around the machinery. Most of us live nearby, so the commute to Vasai East isn't too bad. We start early and usually finish when the work is done. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We just drink our tea, talk about the day’s tasks, and get to it. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts or issues with the shed roof when it rains hard, but that’s part of being in this area. People come to Lakshmi Compound looking for us because they know we handle the technical side of things without any nonsense. We aren't looking to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do a decent job so we can keep the lights on and come back again tomorrow. Working in Waliv has its challenges, but it is our home base and it works.
