Viruthai Millets Farmers Producer Company Ltd is based out of Sabji Mandi Chowk in Thanagazi. We are located near the Burja Tiraha Road, which is always humming with activity because of the market nearby. Since we are a group of farmers, our day starts very early in the morning. We handle a lot of millets and other local produce that comes in from the fields. The office and storage area we use is simple and mostly functional. We spend most of our time dealing with the heavy bags and making sure everything is stored properly so it doesn't spoil. It’s not a fancy corporate setup at all. You’ll mostly find us in our work clothes, moving things around or talking to other farmers who bring their stuff in. The smell of grain and the sound of trucks is just part of the daily routine here. We aren't trying to be some big national brand; we just want to get our produce to the people who need it. The chowk is a loud place with lots of shouting and haggling, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We keep our records in simple notebooks and try to stay on top of the work as best as we can. It’s hard work, but it’s what we know. If you come by the mandi, you'll see us there, just working through the piles of stock. It’s a practical business run by people who know the soil.
