The lanes are tight, and you can often hear the sound of looms if you walk a few blocks away. We deal with various types of fabrics every day. It’s a lot of checking colors and textures under the light. The weather here can be really humid, especially during the rains, but the work doesn't stop. We have a small group of people working here, and we’ve all been together for years. We don’t do any big advertising campaigns. Usually, people find out about us through word of mouth or because they are already doing business in the Kachhibagh market. It’s an honest, slightly messy business sometimes, but we enjoy it. We have our routine—open up, check the arrivals, talk to the transporters, and handle the accounts. There is something nice about being in such an old part of the city.
