Vedanshiv Garments Private Limited is over here in Pahariya, specifically inside Kalpnath Bihar Colony at Araji No-81/1. If you know the area, it is mostly residential but we have our setup right here where we handle all the garment work. The morning starts with the sound of shutters opening and people from the colony walking their dogs or heading to work. We spend a lot of our day dealing with piles of fabric and making sure the machines are running okay. It gets pretty busy around noon when the sun is high. The space is filled with tables and we have threads of all different colors lying around. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit and we just sit and wait or talk about what is for lunch. It is not a fancy place, just a regular work site with brick walls and some fans. We have been in this part of VNS for a while now. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. Dealing with the logistics of getting goods in and out of a colony can be a bit tricky with the narrow roads, but we manage it every day. The workers here are mostly local people who walk or take a cycle to get to the workshop. We just focus on getting the sewing done and keeping things moving along without too much fuss.
