Vastra India

Vastra India is located at C-16 in the Bhiwandiwala Terrace building. It is right there on 618 J.S.S. Marg. To be honest, the building is one of those old Mumbai spots that has seen a lot of history. We spend most of our days here surrounded by rolls of cloth and piles of samples. It gets pretty busy on the street outside, with the traffic and people always rushing by. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Some days are quieter than others, but usually, there is something to move or organize. The terrace area gives us a bit of a breeze if we are lucky, though usually, it is just humid like the rest of the city. We don't really do anything fancy in terms of decoration. The walls are just walls, and the shelves are mostly full of whatever came in that morning. If you walk down J.S.S. Marg, you will see a lot of shops similar to ours, but we just stick to our corner in Bhiwandiwala Terrace. It’s a practical place. We keep the doors open when it's not too dusty. Most of the people who work here have been coming to this same address for years. We know the chai wallah nearby and the guys who deliver our parcels. It is just a normal work day, every day. We handle the fabric and talk to the people who drop by. That is basically all there is to it. We keep things moving along.
