Sg Fabricom

Down in Nakash Lohatia, things are always moving fast. Our place is at K 63/44, and it is right in the middle of all the noise. Lohatia is known for metal and hardware, so we fit right in with the rest of the shops. The space we have is not huge, so we have to be organized, though it doesn't always look that way. There are parts and pieces of metal scattered on the workbenches. Most of the time, my hands are greasy from the machines. It is the kind of place where you wear old clothes because you know they are going to get ruined anyway. We don't have a fancy office for meetings; we usually just talk to people right there on the shop floor while the machines are humming in the background. The ventilation isn't the best, so it gets stuffy in the summer, but we keep the fans going. It is a lot of measuring and double-checking specs. Sometimes the neighbors come in to borrow a tool or just to complain about the heat. We just do our work and try to keep things moving along. It is a gritty area of town, and the work reflects that. It is not a polished operation, just a lot of hard work and making sure the fabrication is done right. Every day is pretty much the same: loud, busy, and full of metal.
