Unique Textile

We are situated at D-41 E-3/1 inside the Devki Nandan Haveli in Rama Pura Godowliya. Being in a haveli gives the place a certain feel, with its old walls and high ceilings. We deal with textiles, so there are rolls of cloth everywhere you look. It’s a bit of a maze in here sometimes. The area around Godowliya is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the counters. The floor is made of old tiles that have cracked over the years. We don't have a lot of modern equipment, just the basics that we need to measure and cut the fabric. It’s a family-run kind of atmosphere, even if we aren't all related. We know the regulars who come by, and we usually have time for a quick conversation. At Unique Textile, we don't try to be something we're not. We just sell fabric and manage the shop. Sometimes the rain leaks in a little near the back door, and we have to move the stock quickly. It’s just part of being in an old building. We like the history of the place, even if it’s a bit drafty in the winter. We just keep the business going one day at a time, seeing who comes through the door. It’s a simple way to make a living.
