You can find us at Gyan Mandal Plaza, specifically Shop Number 15. Vishweshwarganj is a very crowded part of Varanasi. It’s always loud outside with the rickshaws and people walking to the temples or the market. Pramila Pharmaceuticals is tucked away inside the plaza. The building is a bit older, and the hallways can be dark, but our shop is where we keep everything organized. Varanasi is a place where everyone knows everyone else. We have been working in the medicine trade for a while now. It's not a fancy job. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to distributors and chemists. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every inch of the wall space for shelves. We have stacks of invoices on the desk. Sometimes it feels like we are drowning in paper, but we manage to find what we need. The air in Vishweshwarganj is heavy with the smell of spices and old buildings. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just making sure the pharmaceutical supplies get moved to where they are needed. It’s a busy life in a busy city. Most days we are just happy when the traffic isn't too backed up so our deliveries can get through. My nephew helps out with the deliveries on his scooter. He knows all the shortcuts through the back alleys of the old city.
