Our shop is located at Plot No. B-30/68 in the Lanka area of Varanasi. It is a place where there is always some kind of noise from the machines or someone hammering away at something. We have been working out of this spot for a good while and most of the guys here have grease under their fingernails most of the time. Engineering sounds like a big word, but mostly we are just fixing broken parts or cutting metal to size for whatever someone needs. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, with scraps of steel and tools lying around on the benches. We don't really bother with fancy decorations or a big front desk. If you walk in, you’ll probably see one of us bent over a lathe or talking about a drawing. Varanasi can get pretty crowded, especially around Lanka, so getting stuff delivered can sometimes be a bit of a headache with the traffic. We just try to get the jobs done as they come in. Some days are slower than others, but there is usually enough to keep the lights on and the machines humming. We don’t spend much time on the computer unless we have to. It’s mostly just hands-on work and trying to make sure things fit together like they are supposed to. People usually find us by word of mouth or just because they saw our sign while walking past.
