Kashika Kataan Weaves Pvt. Ltd. is located over in Badshah Bagh, Maldhaiya. We are mostly involved in the textile side of things, specifically with weaves. It is a traditional kind of business but we run it as a private limited company. The workshop has a specific sound to it, with the machinery and people moving about. We handle a lot of fabric and thread every single day. It can get a bit dusty with all the materials around, but that is just part of the trade. We are not sitting in some high-rise office building; we are right there where the work happens. People come to us when they need quality weaving work done. We have a small team and everyone knows their job. Sometimes we stay late to finish a particular batch of fabric if a deadline is coming up. The neighborhood around Badshah Bagh is familiar with us. We do not spend money on big ads or anything like that. Word of mouth usually does the job for us. We just focus on the looms and the patterns we are working on. It is honest, hard work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We have had some good years and some tough ones, but we are still here in Maldhaiya, doing what we know how to do best. It is just how we live and work.
