Mahadev Dental Clinic

We set up this dental clinic on Panchkoshi Pandeypur Road, not too far from Sri Ram College. It’s a good spot because students and local families can get to us easily. The clinic itself isn't very large. We have the dental chairs and the usual equipment tucked into a couple of rooms. The smell of clove oil is usually hanging in the air. We spend our days looking at teeth and talking to people about their gums. It’s not everyone’s favorite place to visit, we know that. We try to make it as comfortable as a dentist’s office can be. Sometimes the drills make a bit of noise that echoes in the hallway. We have a small reception area where people sit and wait their turn. The assistant at the front handles the appointments, though the book is a bit messy with all the scratch-outs. We see a lot of people with toothaches or those who just need a cleaning. Sometimes we have to explain things twice because people are nervous. We don’t mind. It’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with teeth. The windows look out onto the road, so we watch the traffic while we work. When the college is in session, the street gets a lot busier. We stay open until the last appointment is finished, usually around dinner time. It’s a steady way to spend the day.
