Ladies Corner

Finding us is pretty easy if you know Dasha Shwamedh Road. We are at D-14/1, right near the corner of Vishwanath Lane. This part of Varanasi is always packed with people heading toward the river or the temple. It’s a lot of walking and narrow paths. Our shop is a bit of a tight squeeze inside because we try to keep so many different things on the shelves. You’ll see bangles, clips, and all sorts of small items piled up. It looks messy to some, but we have a system for where everything goes. The air is always full of the smell of incense from the lane nearby. Sometimes we have to stand out front just to get a bit of space when the shop gets full. We talk to tourists and locals alike every single day. Most of the time, we’re just untangling strings or helping someone find a matching color. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep a water cooler in the corner. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't had the time to close up and do it. It’s just a busy, honest little shop in one of the most crowded parts of the city. We’ve been here at this corner for a long time. People come in to escape the sun for a minute while they look through what we have. It’s never quiet, but that is exactly how we like it.
