My family has been at B-3 /320-1 Shivala for a while now. If you know the area, we are just opposite Ratnakar Park. At Khan Fabrics, we mostly spend our time sorting through rolls of cloth and making sure things are organized for whoever walks in. It gets busy some mornings, especially when new stock arrives on the truck and we have to find space for everything. We don't have a big fancy office or anything like that. It’s just a regular workspace where we deal with different materials every day. Sometimes the tea guy comes by twice before we even get a chance to sit down. People around here know us as the place near the park where you can find what you need without a lot of fuss. We try to keep things simple because that is just how we work. The shelves are usually pretty full, and it can get a bit dusty if we don't keep up with the cleaning. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy bolts of fabric and measuring things out by hand. We’ve been in this spot for years, so we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit, but our shop stays mostly the same. We just focus on the fabric and getting through the daily list of chores. There is always something to fold or a customer asking for a specific shade of blue that we have to dig out from the back. It is just a normal day here at Shivala.
